Surrender Your #Pain – November 5th – #Inspiration

November 5th

Surrender your pain so that it can continue to be healed. We know you hurt. See that emotions are temporary.

The quote above is from The Messages: A Day Book section of The Presence Within: Channeled Guidance available in paperback and ebook.

Emotions need to flow and go. According to Eckhart Tolle in A New Earth, the “pain body” (what I would call the subconscious mind and also karma) recreates traumatic events so that we can finally process the pain that was too overwhelming to feel earlier in our lives. When we find ourselves releasing this pain, then we are at last free from it. All addiction is a fearful attempt to keep this process from happening. It is the expression of this pain that heals us at last. Our ability to access joy and pleasure is connected to our ability to access our unpleasant emotions. If we are numb to our pain, we remain numb to our pleasure and our purpose as well.

Feeling emotions is different from unleashing our emotions on others.

Every blessing,
James

#Available to God – September 26th – #Inspiration

September 26th

Through your willingness to become available to God, you have healed separation.

The quote above is from The Messages: A Day Book section of The Presence Within: Channeled Guidance available in paperback and ebook.

I’m reading Gary Reynard’s The Disappearance of the Universe, whose main premise is that not only is life a dream, but a bad one and that only our inner peace and realization of our union with God will awaken us from our suffering. It is a very interesting book. What if the suffering in life is an illusion and we are already one with Divine Love and we simply need to become aware of it?

#Developing Our Divine Nature – July 4th – #Inspiration

July 4th

Remember that love begins to open a way for you to address and heal all your challenges. Love as much as possible. When you love, you develop your Divine nature.

Quote above from The Messages: A Day Book section of The Presence Within: Channeled Guidance available in paperback and ebook.

We exercise if we desire a developed body. We love if we desire a developed life. Loving builds definition. Let’s get buff in love. =O)

#Love is the Gateway for #Healing – June 22nd – #Inspiration

June 22nd

Love allows the energy of the Universe to become engaged. When you love yourself and others, the force of the Universe flows through you to heal and receive Divine blessings.

Quote above from The Messages: A Day Book section of The Presence Within: Channeled Guidance now available as an e-book. Soon available in paperback.

Let’s get really self-centered for a moment. All of these posts about loving people, what’s in it for me? Why should I bother to extend love to strangers, people I disagree with, people who are different from me, people further down the pecking order, irritating people, people who are of no earthly use to me or seemingly anyone? Why bother?

The above message clarifies why it is worthwhile to make the effort — spiritual blessing. Loving heals both the giver and the receiver because it is unifying with Divine Power. Anyone interested in being a healer will be interested in loving as many people as possible, as often as possible.

Patch Adams is a physician, who began his healing process by being admitted to a mental ward with extreme depression. There, he found the inspiration to become a doctor through his realization that being present with those who were ill brought healing. He found his passionate purpose. Even before earning his credentials, he went about revolutionizing medical treatment by heightening the emotional component of doctor/patient relations. Following graduation he decided to open his own center. He also wrote an amazing book, which became a movie starring Robin Williams. It is impossible to fully express the awesomeness that is Patch Adams.

  • Sidebar 1
I passed by Robin Williams on the streets of Seattle, I played it cool and gave him his space. I wish now I had grabbed hold of him and made a fuss. How the man who made Patch Adams and What Dreams May Come decided that suicide was the right option is both baffling and frightening. We need to grab folks when we can, because there may not be a second chance.
  • Sidebar 2
Patch Adams is also the earliest example, I have found, of an outspoken straight ally to LGBTI people. This activism occurred in the rural South, in the sixties. Did I mention he is awesome? He’s like an awesome sundae topped with awesome.

There is one more great reason to choose to be loving to other people. It feels really, really good. What better motivation can there be for loving everyone than going through life feeling good?
